The process is similar to typical injection molding with the only difference being that the need to produce parts at very fast cycle times is relaxed.
This allows the tooling to be made of aluminum and much of the complexity is removed.
The simple mold also allows the processing equipment to be smaller, simpler, and less expensive to manufacture and operate.

Our molds require less time to design and make. Spending less time creating the mold allows us to deliver in a much shorter time frame and for a lower price.
Since the molds are predominantly made from aluminum, they can be machined on modern CNC machine tools very rapidly, efficiently and accurately.
Cost savings of 50% to 80% are typical. Lead times are usually one to six weeks depending on the geometry of the part.
